Job summary

KIPP NYC is seeking an exceptional Chief People Officer to serve as the architect of the organization's talent strategy, culture, and employee experience across 1,200+ employees and schools in three boroughs. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will own talent acquisition, workforce planning, development, performance management, and HR operations.

• Experience designing and leading a talent lifecycle strategy.
• Ability to modernize HR systems and use analytics for decision making.
• Proven leadership of diverse teams in complex, multi-entity organizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic thought partner to CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
• Own workforce planning, talent development, and performance management.
• Lead total rewards design, compensation benchmarking, and equity initiatives.
• Oversee HR operations, governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Build and protect a culture of high performance and belonging.
• Manage a team of ~18 across recruitment, experience, and transformation.
