Legal Defense Fund seeks a strategic Head of People and Culture in New York to modernize and steward a high-performing, mission-aligned people function. You will partner with senior leadership to attract, grow, and retain top talent while elevating the employee experience.

You will lead HR operations, data-driven workforce planning, compliance, and total rewards, building trusted practices and a proactive culture across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a head of human resources with senior leadership partnership.
• Minimum ten years’ experience in human resources or related functions.
• Background working in HR at a law firm, legal services or nonprofit strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, development and culture, employee relations, HRIS and data analytics, operations and compliance.
• Lead strategic HR initiatives, ensuring compliance and data-driven decisions across the employee lifecycle.
• Develop and monitor metrics and dashboards to measure workforce health, engagement, retention and performance.
• Oversee HRIS implementation, data integrity, and vendor relationships; manage the HR department budget.
