Job summary

The University at Buffalo’s Department of Pediatrics seeks a Division Chief of Genetics to lead inpatient and outpatient operations, education, and scholarship initiatives.

The successful candidate will recruit and mentor faculty, grow multidisciplinary clinical programs, oversee medical student and resident education, and expand research collaborations with Oishei Children's Hospital to advance pediatric genetics care.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics by ABMGG required.
• Evidence of leadership in genetics, clinical operations, and scholarly activity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead division in inpatient and outpatient genetics services and scholarship efforts.
• Recruit and mentor outstanding faculty and grow multidisciplinary clinical programs.
• Oversee education of medical students and residents in Genetics.
• Expand research activities and collaborative projects within the division and with other departments or institutions.
• Engage in scholarly initiatives and advance patient care in pediatric genetics/dysmorphology and metabolism.
• Participate in Division Chiefs and Department Faculty meetings; serve as a resource for colleagues and healthcare professionals.
