Job summary

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is seeking a Senior Director of Pathways and Development to lead the talent development strategy across players and coaching staff. You will collaborate with clubs, federations, and external partners to position the league as the premier destination for women’s soccer in North America and globally.

You will drive initiatives like youth- and college-player development, CPD for coaches, and centralized data for scouting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership within the U.S. women’s soccer ecosystem across youth, collegiate, and professional levels.
• Experience in coaching and/or coach education and development.
• Background in player development in the women’s game.
• Existing network relationships across U.S. Soccer, clubs, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders.
• Experience working in soccer governance is favorable, with evidence of program building and monitoring.
• Strong strategic thinker capable of operating across multi-stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communicator capable of representing the NWSL externally.
• Passion for advancing equity and access in women’s sport.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop a multi-year pathways and development strategy for players and staff.
• Serve as external representative on talent development at events and federations.
• Manage relationships with U.S. Soccer, clubs, and educational partners.
• Oversee coaching licensure renewal requirements and CPD recognition.
• Report on pipeline health, program outcomes, and needs to league leadership.
