Job summary

Vanguard Search Partners, LLC is seeking a President & Chief Operating Officer for a solar & storage platform on a hybrid East/West Coast basis. You will work alongside the CEO and board to scale the operating engine, drive multi-function leadership, and align strategy with executive investors.

You will own day-to-day operations, build a VP/Director leadership group, and shape the operating model as the platform grows, with equity and bonus opportunities and periodic site travel.

Qualifications

• Currently a COO/President/SVP at a U.S. solar, storage, or renewables developer.
• Full P&L ownership and a track record of scaling during growth.
• Experience leading multiple functions through VP-level leaders.
• Board and investor-facing credibility with lenders.
• Working knowledge of U.S. interconnection, policy and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across construction delivery, engineering, procurement and asset management.
• Build and lead a senior VP/Director team.
• Lead procurement and supply chain strategy including tariff and FEOC exposure.
• Drive fleet performance, O&M and long-term asset value.
• Shape operating model, structure and hiring plan as platform scales.
• Collaborate with CEO, board and investors on strategy and performance.

The Company

A well-capitalised solar and storage platform, backed by a Tier 1 infrastructure investor, is moving from build-out to long-term ownership of a multi-gigawatt U.S. portfolio. The business develops, builds, owns and operates its assets, giving this hire real influence over how the whole operating organisation is built.

The Role

You'll run the operating organisation alongside the CEO, including:

• Day-to-day operations across construction delivery, engineering, procurement and asset management
• Leading and building a senior team of VP and Director-level leaders
• Procurement and supply chain strategy, including tariff, domestic content and FEOC exposure
• Fleet performance, O&M and long-term asset value
• Operating model, structure and hiring plan as the platform scales
• Partnering with the CEO, board and investors on strategy and performance

What They Need

• Currently a COO, President or SVP at a U.S. solar, storage or wider renewables developer, IPP, owner-operator or EPC
• Full P&L ownership and a track record of scaling an organisation through a growth phase
