Vanguard Search Partners, LLC is seeking a Chief Development Officer for Solar & Storage with hybrid arrangements on the East or West Coast to lead the development function in the U.S.

You will shape the pipeline from site selection to ready-to-build, manage regional teams, navigate interconnection and policy, and report to the CEO, COO and investors.

This is an executive role offering meaningful equity and direct access to the board to guide the next growth cycle.

The Company

A well-capitalised solar and storage developer and IPP, backed by a Tier 1 infrastructure investor, is expanding a multi-gigawatt U.S. pipeline and building out its development organisation.

The Role

You'll own development strategy and the pipeline from site selection to ready-to-build, including:

• Leading regional development heads, development managers and the permitting, environmental, land and interconnection teams
• Market entry and state-by-state priorities as policy and utility landscapes shift
• Site control, permitting and siting strategy
• Interconnection strategy and utility relationships
• Community and stakeholder engagement
• Handover to construction, capital allocation and pipeline reporting to the CEO, COO and investors

What They Need

• Currently a CDO, SVP or VP Development at a U.S. solar or storage developer or IPP
• Ownership of a development pipeline and budget, with multiple projects taken from greenfield to ready-to-build at scaleExperience building and leading regional development teams
• Command of interconnection, permitting and state-level policy
• Board and investor-facing experience, with credibility with landowners and utilities
