Job summary

Met Council is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team in New York. The COO will translate strategy into action, oversee people, programs, operations, and resources, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

This role leads a senior team, strengthens organizational effectiveness, and expands Met Council’s use of technology and AI to improve services for New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CEO’s trusted advisor and strategic partner, ensuring priorities are translated into action.
• Partner with the executive leadership team to navigate complex challenges, align priorities, and drive enterprise-wide decisions.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing senior leadership team with accountability and collaboration.
