Job description

Origen.AI, a cutting-edge artificial intelligence startup focusing on the energy sector, is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join our dynamic leadership team. As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's operational excellence and strategic growth.

Origen.AI develops methods for modeling, simulation, and optimization of complex systems, particularly systems involving physical properties. Our revolutionary technology accelerates simulations by up to 10,000x, opening up unprecedented opportunities across many different industries.

We are based in Hoboken, NJ, with offices in Spain. We are creating a passionate and engaging culture that combines cutting-edge research and product-led engineering to provide a supportive balance of structure and flexibility. We are looking for colleagues passionate about bringing cutting-edge AI to industrial problems.

This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person meetings at our offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with the CEO to execute business plans and optimize workflows.
  2. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  3. Drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and process innovation across all functions.
  4. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and execution of projects.
  5. Manage internal processes, including recruitment standards, performance management, and KPI tracking.
  6. Develop strategies for scaling operations while maintaining quality and productivity.
  7. Represent the company in occasional in-person meetings at our offices in Hoboken, NJ, or Spain.
  8. Lead and manage key operational areas including finance, marketing, human resources, and customer service.
  9. Analyze internal operations and implement process enhancements to optimize performance.
  10. Develop and execute business strategies aligned with short-term and long-term objectives.
  11. Manage capital investments and expenses to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  12. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.
