By centralizing vetted vendors and offers, Toolkit For Founders enables growing businesses to save time, reduce costs, and scale operations more confidently.

Role Description

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York, NY, with flexibility for partial work from home. The COO will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that platform processes, vendor relationships, and internal workflows run efficiently and align with strategic goals. Responsibilities include building and optimizing operational frameworks, managing budgets and financial performance, and partnering with the founding team on business planning and growth initiatives. The COO will lead cross-functional collaboration, define and track operational KPIs, and implement data-driven improvements to user experience and service delivery. This role also involves mentoring team members, supporting a culture of accountability and innovation, and helping shape long-term organizational structure.

Qualifications
  • Strong Business Planning skills, including strategic planning, roadmap development, and execution in a growth-stage or startup environment.
  • Demonstrated Operations Management experience, with a track record of building scalable processes, systems, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, define KPIs, assess performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of Finance and Budgeting, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or platforms serving small and medium businesses is highly beneficial.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including team management, stakeholder communication, and collaborative decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment in New York, NY, with the ability to manage both in-office and remote collaboration.
