Job summary

Infinity Law Group LLP is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to guide the firm’s business operations, support growth, and partner with leadership to realize a long‑term vision. The role centers on operational excellence, technology strategy, and client service optimization.

Based in Lafayette, CA, this is a remote position with travel to the office as needed, requiring strong leadership across HR, Finance, IT, and administration to drive sustainable value for the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• MBA or JD strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or executive leadership
• 5+ years leading multiple departments or business units in a professional services organization

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Partners to develop and execute the firm’s strategic vision, operational initiatives, and long‑term growth objectives.
• Oversee all non‑legal business operations, including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, IT, Client Services, Facilities, and Administrative functions.
• Lead the firm’s AI and technology strategy by identifying, implementing, and optimizing legal technology, automation, and artificial intelligence solutions.
• Develop scalable operational systems, policies, and processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, operational metrics, and performance reporting to support sound business decisions.
• Enhance the client experience by improving operational workflows, communication, and service delivery.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and data analytics to measure organizational performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate business opportunities, technology investments, vendor relationships, and operational risks to support the firm’s long‑term success.
• Champion organizational change initiatives and position the firm as a leader in modern legal operations and innovation.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the COO will ensure the firm’s operations, people, and business systems support exceptional client service, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

• Minimum of 5 years leading multiple departments or business units; experience within a law firm or professional services organization strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing organizational growth and operational transformation, and leading an organizational change initiative.

Compensation

$160,000 - $200,000 per year.
