Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and Board Certification in Urology.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in an academic urology setting.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or higher.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience building teams, developing programs, and leading multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Experience in Graduate Medical Education.
• Fellowship training in a urologic subspecialty.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical, educational, and research missions of the Section of Urology.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Guide strategic growth initiatives and expand access to urologic care throughout the region.
• Build and oversee the development of a future Urologic Surgery Residency Program.
• Advance research and academic scholarship through partnerships with Virginia Tech and the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
• Maintain an active clinical practice supported by advanced technology and multidisciplinary resources.
