Job summary

ABB is seeking a VP of IT chief of staff in Cary, NC. You will manage the VP’s operating rhythm, oversee hiring, onboarding, and budget cycles across seven IT domains, and drive governance for enterprise systems like SAP ECC/S4HANA, Vistex, Vertex, and SAP TMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering.
• MBA or masters degree preferred.
• 10+ years enterprise systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Run the VP's operating rhythm across seven domains and prepare a single commitments tracker.
• Coordinate between domain leads and business-unit leadership to keep the VP informed.
• Prepare the VP for key conversations: what will be asked, what to decide, and what not to concede.
• Act for the VP when away and maintain critical relationships with stakeholders.
• Lead hiring engine with HR’s Talent Acquisition across multiple regions and requisitions.
• Own candidate experience from offer to onboarding and manage the intern program.
• Run monthly business meetings and craft leadership narratives for reviews.
• Coordinate APT intake across domains to keep backlog/priority aligned and visible.
