Job summary

Probably Genetic in San Francisco is seeking a Chief of Staff to partner with the Founder and CEO, owning high-stakes initiatives, fundraising end-to-end, and driving clarity across the leadership team.

You will reduce CEO operational overhead, lead cross-functional projects, prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and external communications, and ensure execution aligned with the company’s mission.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a strong management consulting foundation and operating experience at a high-growth startup.
• Experience supporting or managing fundraising processes (Series A+D ideally).
• Track record at the intersection of strategy and execution; comfortable in a boardroom and building processes.
• Experience in healthtech or biotech; ability to operate in highly complex industries.
• Meticulous attention to detail; outputs meet an exceptionally high standard.
• Demonstrated AI literacy; actively uses AI tools in daily workflow and leads others to do the same.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end venture fundraising materials, data room, investor outreach, and pipeline management.
• Serve as primary coordinator between the CEO and prospective/existing investors; prepare updates.
• Reduce CEO time on operational overhead by owning recurring processes and stakeholder communications.
• Lead cross-functional projects; establish ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Prepare the CEO for key meetings with briefs, talking points, and follow-up docs.
