American Cancer Society, Inc. is seeking a Chief of Staff to the People Team. The role acts as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer, translating workforce strategy into actionable plans across governance, analytics, and executive communication.

This remote position requires Eastern Time Zone availability and offers leadership exposure in a mission-driven nonprofit. You will oversee enterprise projects, develop board materials, and collaborate across functions to accelerate people

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• PM/HR certifications such as PMP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR preferred.
• 10+ years leadership experience in HR, organizational effectiveness, strategy, or related field.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and leading large-scale initiatives.
• Experience in nonprofit or healthcare organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of the People & Organization strategic roadmap.
• Advise the Chief People Officer with executive-level analysis, recommendations, and decision support.
• Oversee enterprise-wide projects, organizational change, and process improvement initiatives.
