Job summary

Newlab in Brooklyn seeks a Chief of Staff to support the Global Head of Business and Commercialization. This in-person role drives delivery excellence, bridges strategy and execution, and anchors leadership conversations to ensure high-quality outcomes across a multi-engagement portfolio.

You will monitor day-to-day delivery, streamline processes, and help teams prepare for key partner touchpoints while expanding internal frameworks and tools to elevate performance.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in strategic operations, project management, or chief of staff roles.
• Ability to track delivery, ensure high-quality deliverables, and drive portfolio impact.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams through influence.
• Experience in public sector or PPP contexts preferred.
• Experience coaching peers and junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Track delivery and drive outcomes across the commercialization portfolio.
• Orchestrate leadership touchpoints and prepare teams for partner interactions.
• Connect daily work to big-picture objectives and manage project status.
• Identify risks early and enable proactive strategic guidance.
• Optimize staffing/utilization and enhance internal tools for project delivery.
• Develop and scale AI tools to improve efficiency and output.
