Job summary

datadotorg is seeking a Senior Chief of Staff for AI Resilience to translate priorities into execution, create clarity from ambiguity, and accelerate a small team's delivery without adding bureaucracy. You will build and run the operating cadence, track grants and projects, maintain onboarding and context systems, and prototype AI-native tools to keep sources of truth organized.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a chief of staff or similar role.
• Built trackers, processes, templates, operating rhythms, onboarding materials, or source-of-truth systems.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and calmness under ambiguity.
• Can turn wide-ranging discussions into clear briefs, board-ready materials, and next steps.
• Uses discretion with sensitive governance and strategy context, AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and run operating cadence including planning rhythms, weekly updates, agendas, logs, and cross-workstream coordination.
• Maintain visibility across grants, projects, diligence status, and handoffs for finance/legal coordination.
• Keep hiring and capacity-building processes moving with trackers and clear next steps.
• Create onboarding/context systems for new hires, contractors, advisors, and collaborators.
• Prototype lightweight tools for tracking and operations; deploy AI agents and manage sources of truth.
• Partner with departments to clarify handoffs and escalation paths.
• Own scoped operating projects from process setup to delivering clear recommendations.
