We build Source and we build with Source. We maintain an open-source, edge-native data stack and deploy it in production where the cloud isn't an option — phones, laptops, vehicles, robots, ground stations, satellites. Engineer-led, no roadmap theater, no process for the sake of process. The plan is to ship, learn, and fix what breaks. Upstream, we're making the stack faster, more correct, and less annoying to use. Downstream, we're deploying real workloads for partners on hardware that doesn't forgive lazy engineering. We run managed services too, for teams that want edge infra without the ops burden. If you'd rather debug a CRDT merge on a satellite than sit through a sprint retro, you'll like it here.

Source is building the infrastructure layer for the edge-first era — a world where data is created, processed, and verified directly at its source, across devices, systems, and networks operating beyond the cloud. From satellites and vehicles to sensors, industrial systems, and local servers, the edge is becoming the new frontier of computing.
Our mission is to make managing, securing, and verifying data across billions of distributed environments as seamless as it is in the cloud — without compromising privacy, autonomy, or trust.
Source’s modular data stack — including DefraDB (edge-first database), LensVM (data transformation engine), SourceHub (trust and access protocol), and Orbis (secrets management) — provides the foundation for this shift. Together, they enable developers and organizations to deploy software that can operate locally, sync globally, and verify itself anywhere.
Source is building the data foundation for the edge-first world — powering everything from real-time autonomy and mission-critical industrial systems to energy, telecommunications, space technologies, and edge AI applications. It’s infrastructure that allows organizations, machines, and people to interact with information securely, verifiably, and autonomously — whether on Earth, in orbit, or anywhere in between.
As Chief of Staff, you’ll be the connective force across Source’s leadership — helping turn vision into execution and execution into scale. You’ll work directly with the CEO to drive key initiatives across product, engineering, operations, partnerships, and fundraising as Source moves from breakthrough R&D to global deployment.
This is a high-leverage, high-trust role for someone who thrives in complexity, navigates ambiguity with clarity, and knows how to build organizational momentum around a shared mission.
You’ll be at the center of one of the most ambitious deep-tech companies of this decade — helping shape how the world manages and trusts data beyond the cloud.
This is a rare opportunity to help define the operating model for a company building the foundational data layer of the edge-first world.
As Chief of Staff, you’ll work alongside world-class engineers and researchers redefining how software, devices, and systems manage and verify data. You’ll be part of a mission-driven deep-tech company tackling one of the hardest and most consequential infrastructure challenges of our time.
You’ll have direct visibility into the company’s strategic and technical decision-making, helping shape how Source grows and scales globally.
