Job description

We build Source and we build with Source. We maintain an open-source, edge-native data stack and deploy it in production where the cloud isn't an option — phones, laptops, vehicles, robots, ground stations, satellites. Engineer-led, no roadmap theater, no process for the sake of process. The plan is to ship, learn, and fix what breaks. Upstream, we're making the stack faster, more correct, and less annoying to use. Downstream, we're deploying real workloads for partners on hardware that doesn't forgive lazy engineering. We run managed services too, for teams that want edge infra without the ops burden. Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 + equity

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO — driving company priorities, tracking progress across functions, and ensuring the organization executes against its goals.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, business development, and operations to accelerate Source’s scaling efforts.
• Design and refine internal systems for decision-making, communication, and execution as the company grows.
• Prepare strategic materials and narratives for investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate efforts across product, engineering, and partnership teams to ensure alignment around Source’s long-term vision.
• Operate as a trusted advisor and thought partner — helping anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and build organizational clarity around them.

Requirements for the role

• 5–10 years of experience in high-growth startups, venture-backed deep tech, strategy consulting, or operational leadership roles.
• Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
• A background in (or strong curiosity for) distributed systems, AI/ML, hardware, data infrastructure, or cryptography.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills — comfortable interfacing with investors, engineers, and partners alike.
• A bias toward clarity, momentum, and problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
• A deep desire to help build a company that’s not just shipping products but shaping the future infrastructure of mission-critical systems.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally across technical and business domains.
• Track record of driving operational excellence and scaling processes within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
