Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior operations/Chief of Staff to partner with the CEO in NYC, owning planning, decision cadence, and metric reporting across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years in management consulting or health-care operations, strong analytical and written communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives end-to-end. Located in or near NYC, authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, operations in high-growth health care startups, or a prior chief of staff role.
• Experience in health care is required
• Demonstrated record of owning cross-functional work end-to-end
• Strong analytical and financial fluency
• Comfortable building models and interrogating dashboards
• Exceptional written communication
• Judgment and presence to hold senior people accountable or influence without formal authority
• Discretion to handle sensitive information about people, finances, and strategy
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Alignment with equitable access to mental health and addiction care
• Ability to work credibly with clinicians and operators
• Reside in or near the NYC metropolitan area, or relocate for the role
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Report to the CEO / Founder
• Design and run the company's meeting and planning system, including weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning
• Set agendas, drive decisions to conclusion, capture owners and deadlines, and follow up until completion
• Build and maintain OKR and KPI infrastructure
• Define and reliably report key metrics including patient access and wait times, clinician utilization and capacity, retention, collections, and growth
• Track leadership-team commitments, escalate stalled items, and remove blockers
• Turn complex questions into decision-ready memos, models, options, trade-offs, and recommendations
• Prepare board materials, investor updates, and internal all-hands content
• Own narrative quality and numerical accuracy
• Lead special projects such as payer contracting, clinician onboarding redesign, partnerships, or systems migrations end-to-end
• Protect and prioritize the CEO's time and attention, prepare the CEO, represent the CEO where appropriate, and provide private counsel
• Understand the business, care model, unit economics, clinician pipeline, and execution constraints
• Establish reliable operating cadence, decision logging, commitment tracking, and metric reporting
• Deliver significant initiatives, sharp executive communication, and increased CEO leverage
