Job summary

Presidio, a remote-first Shopify product studio, seeks a Chief of Staff based in Miami, FL, for a full-time hybrid role with the option for part-time work from home. You will work with the executive leadership to align product, engineering, marketing, and client success, coordinating priorities and preparing reports.

You will also oversee projects, OKRs, meetings, KPIs, HR and finance support, and contract governance, while owning the internal tool stack and driving strategic planning.

Qualifications

Role Description

The Chief of Staff is a full-time, hybrid role based in Miami, FL, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This role will work closely with the executive leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations, and ensure cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, marketing, and client success. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating executive priorities, preparing and reviewing reports and presentations, overseeing key projects and OKRs, and facilitating communication between leadership and teams. The Chief of Staff will support planning cycles, manage meeting agendas and follow-ups, monitor company performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve processes and organizational effectiveness. This role also involves acting as a trusted advisor to leadership, anticipating needs, and helping translate strategy into clear, actionable plans.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all departments.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Internal Project Coordination: Ensure timely delivery of projects by coordinating with different teams and managing resources effectively.
• Budget Management: Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of company resources.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the company meets its operational goals.
• HR Support: Assist with HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development.
• Finance & Reporting: Support the monthly close, reconciliation, and reporting across entities, working with bookkeepers and outside accountants; help maintain forecasts and budgets.
• Legal & Contracts: Coordinate the contract lifecycle — MSAs, SOWs, client and vendor agreements — in partnership with outside counsel.
• Systems & Tooling: Own the internal tool stack — evaluating, consolidating, and administering the software the company runs on.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans to support the company's growth, including corporate and M&A initiatives.

• AI-Powered Automation: Use AI tools to automate and accelerate internal workflows — reporting, reconciliation, recruiting, and routine back-office tasks — so a lean team can operate like a much larger one.
• AI-Assisted Tooling: Prototype and ship lightweight internal apps, integrations, and automations that remove manual work across finance, ops, and go-to-market.
• AI in Our Product & Dev Work: Partner with our engineering and product teams as they build AI-powered features into our Shopify apps and themes, understanding the workflows and delivery implications well enough to keep projects moving.
• Responsible Adoption: Evaluate new AI tools, set sensible guardrails, and help the team adopt them in a way that's practical, secure, and genuinely useful.
