Job summary

Vibehackers is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own ecommerce platforms, including Shopify carts, checkout, subscriptions, and AI-assisted workflows. You will build frontend and backend systems across Shopify and custom infra, optimize launches, and elevate reliability.

You will lead QA, deployments, and collaborate on analytics, experimentation, and edge deployments with Cloudflare Workers. Remote, EST hours, US-based; strong API design, production-grade code, and experience with AI dev

Qualifications

• Production experience with Shopify: Admin API, Storefront API, webhooks, and checkout/cart/product/variant logic.
• Node.js backend experience and solid API design skills.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, using Git/GitHub PR workflows, and owning production deployments.
• Proven track record debugging production issues and delivering fast, reliable, maintainable software.
• Comfortable using AI dev tools as an accelerant while applying engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own Shopify, cart, checkout, and ecommerce funnel work (approx. 40%).
• Build and ship frontend experiences using React and Next.js (occasionally Vue) and maintain custom web apps and services (approx. 25%).
• Develop and extend Cloudflare Workers, reverse-proxy, and split-testing/experimentation infrastructure (approx. 15%).
• Implement and improve subscription experiences and customer portal integrations (Recharge and similar) (approx. 10%).
• Lead QA, release processes, code reviews, and uphold technical standards (approx. 10%).
• Integrate third-party APIs, manage webhooks, and design robust APIs and backend services.
• Implement and validate tracking across experiments, attribution, and analytics (Amplitude, Elevar, PostHog, server-side tracking or similar).
• Use AI-assisted coding tools as a force multiplier while maintaining engineering judgment.
• Monitor launches, catch edge cases, and communicate risks and scope early and clearly.

• Experience with Recharge or similar subscription platforms (Skio, Stay.ai , Smartrr, Ordergroove, Loop).
• Familiarity with Shopify Functions / Checkout extensibility.
• Experience with Cloudflare Workers, reverse proxies, or edge infrastructure.
• Background in A/B testing and experimentation systems.
• Ecommerce analytics and tracking experience (Amplitude, Elevar, PostHog, server-side tracking).
• Performance optimization for high-traffic ecommerce pages.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar).
