Nimble is seeking a Director of Accountability and Compliance for Special Education to lead and oversee all district special education programs, ensuring FAPE in LRE for students with disabilities. You will coordinate compliance with federal, state, and local mandates and drive staff development and program excellence.

The role requires advanced expertise in IEP processes, data systems, and regulatory requirements, with strong leadership and communication skills for urban school settings.

Formación

• Advanced degree in special education.
• Minimum of five years in special education settings.
• Experience ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Experience with IEP development and monitoring.
• Experience with data management systems (CT-SEDS or similar).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Budget development and personnel supervision experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide supervision and leadership for all special education programs and services for students with disabilities.
• Support the Assistant Superintendent in ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines, mandates, and reporting timelines.
• Serve as the Assistant Superintendent's designee for special education matters across district departments and staff.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines on program placements for students with disabilities.
• Direct, oversee, and participate in development and implementation of the department's improvement plan.
• Supervise staff and coordinate professional development related to special education.
