The 711th Human Performance Wing, located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, is looking to hire a senior-level Chief of Security, DO-0080-04. The position directs all security operations for the 711 HPW and subordinate organizations, ensuring that administrative security programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

The Position Duties Include

• As the 711 HPW Security Division (OMS) Division Chief; Chief, Information Protection; and the 711 HPW Organizational Senior Functional for security, provides day-to-day security support for the research and medical missions, along with management of security positions and personnel.
• Provides security advice and risk mitigation recommendations to the 711 HPW Commander and subordinate organizations’ Commanders and Directors.
• Directs and oversees Information Protection (which includes Information, Personnel, Industrial and Operations Security), Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security, Cyber Security for SCI and SAP information/systems/networks, and Physical Security and Antiterrorism for 711 HPW missions, classified and controlled unclassified information, technology development and facilities.
• Plans/executes Science & Technology (S&T) Protection, and the Risk Identification and Security Countermeasures Program to mitigate risks to the Wing's acceleration/delivery of Human Performance knowledge products and expertise amid unprecedented adversarial threats.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Able to obtain and maintain designated security clearance for the position.
• Travel and/or performance of additional duties may be required.
• Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov.
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification - (SFPC)
• One year of specialized experienced experience at the next lower grade level or equivalent in the Federal System.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree is preferred, but not mandatory
• Experience in an Information Protection role
• Experience with Special Access Programs and/or Specialized Compartmented Information programs
• Experience with physical security requirements
• Familiar with security requirements
• Familiar with DoW Antiterrorism programs
• Familiar with DHS Physical Security requirements for federal government facilities
