Job summary

Inova Children’s is seeking a dedicated Chief of Child Neurology to lead our pediatric neurology team in Northern Virginia. This full‑time role offers opportunities to teach medical students and residents and contribute to expanding pediatric specialty care within a nationally recognized health system.

The position includes a competitive compensation package with sign‑on and relocation bonuses, plus CME and education support.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology.
• Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program.
• Subspecialty expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular or sleep is a plus but not required for leadership.
• Current unrestricted medical license in Virginia.
• BLS certification at start.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology.
• Training: Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program.
• Subspecialty expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular or sleep would be appreciated but not required for this leadership position.
• License: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third‑party payors and ability to enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor.
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of clinical practice
• Previous Leadership experience or experience building a Pediatric Neurology program
