Job summary

InnVentures IVI LP seeks a Chief of Maintenance at SpringHill Suites Boise. You will lead maintenance across hotels, hire and train staff, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role focuses on proactive repairs, system troubleshooting and guest satisfaction, with daily pay options and comprehensive benefits. The position requires hands-on expertise in HVAC, electrical and plumbing, plus strong leadership and communication skills to maintain high service levels for guests

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in hospitality or related field.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate maintenance staff.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and boiler operations.
• Willingness to work long hours and handle strenuous physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, motivate and recogniz e maintenance staff at each location.
• Oversee daily operations, budgeting, inventory, scheduling and sustainability programs.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in hotel areas.
• Troubleshoot key card systems, internet and television equipment.
• Oversee safety programs, guest assistance and departmental teamwork.
• Attend required meetings and participate in MOD coverage.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel and recognize the maintenance staff at each hotel.


• Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling all within a set department budget at each hotel.


• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of the hotels and inspect work completed by others to ensure quality and standards are met.


• Troubleshoot various technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.


• Oversee safety programs and key control at each hotel.


• Greet and assist guests with all requests. Proactively garner relationships with long term and repeat guests to develop loyalty and maintain a high level of satisfaction.


• Support the goals of each hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 1 year of related management experience.


• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.


• Long hours sometimes required.


• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.


• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.


• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.


• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.


• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.


• Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.

• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.


• Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.


• Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.


• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
