Job summary

The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System invites applications for a Cardiologist with specialization in Echocardiography to serve as Chief of Echocardiography.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of echocardiographic imaging at VABHS - including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) - transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) - stress echocardiography - and advanced cardiac imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• Current medical license in the United States.
• Board certification in cardiology and advanced echocardiography.
• Experience in echocardiography leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all echocardiographic imaging at VABHS, including TTE and TEE.
• Lead Echo Lab operations, quality assurance, and accreditation efforts.
• Collaborate with BWH and HMS on imaging standards.
• Teach residents and fellows in echocardiography and cardiovascular imaging.
• Engage in clinical research or quality improvement related to cardiac imaging.
• Provide administrative and clinical leadership within the division.
