Job summary

Qualifications

• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in community development or a closely related field, including supervisory or management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, public administration, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• A valid Texas Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct long-range planning initiatives and develop departmental policies and procedures.
• Supervise staff and oversee development review processes; coordinate with other departments.
• Guide policy implementation and prepare departmental budget recommendations for the City Manager.
• Communicate with city leaders, boards and commissions, and constituents.
