Job summary

Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead the Nursing and Patient Care Services. The CNO serves on the Senior Cabinet and directs mission-driven nursing practice, education and research to assure high‑quality patient care across hospital programs.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NYS.
• Master's degree in Nursing Administration or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of satisfactory nursing experience, with at least six (6) years in administration or management.
• All candidates must have at least a Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing and be licensed and currently registered to practice as an RN in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Represents Nursing and Patient Care Services in the hospital's corporate structure.
• Participates in planning, strategic decisions, and allocation of resources with clinical and administrative leaders.
• Directs development and implementation of quality assessment, patient care standards, and risk management programs.
• Oversees education, research initiatives, and continuing professional development within Nursing and Patient Care Services.
