Job summary
LifePoint Health has an opening for a Chief Nursing Officer overseeing Los Alamos Medical Center in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The CNO will provide executive leadership for nursing standards, patient care and staffing in a 47-bed acute care setting with a legacy of quality care.
The role requires an RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and a Master's degree (MSN or MHA preferred), with 3–5 years of CNO experience in investor-owned healthcare. Strong budgeting and regulatory expertise are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required; MSN or MHA preferred.
- Active RN license in the state where the facility is located.
- Minimum 3–5 years of CNO experience in an investor-owned healthcare organization.
- Experience with Joint Commission preparation and survey process.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing standards and practice across the facility.
- Direct nursing services and budgeting for nursing programs.
- Lead recruitment, staff development, and staff education.
- Participate in hospital leadership and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with hospital leaders to ensure patient care services.
