Brookdale Hospital Medical Center is seeking a senior Nursing leader to oversee clinical practice standards and operational quality improvements across the Nursing Department. You will collaborate with the Sr.

Vice President for Patient Care Services/CNO to drive staffing, compliance, and staff development. The role requires a master’s degree in nursing or related field, 10+ years of administrative experience, and NY licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or related field required.
• Minimum ten years of administrative/supervisory experience required.
• Current NY State RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred doctorate.
• Knowledge of NYSDOH, JCAHO and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Participates with Sr. VP for Patient Care Services in establishing philosophy and goals of the Nursing Department.
• Monitors staffing planning to ensure safe patient care and compliant recruitment and retention practices.
• Direct supervision of Assistant Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers and Administrative Nursing Coordinators.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and union requirements; communicates with stakeholders.
• Plans data-driven Performance Improvement activities aligned with the organization-wide plan.
• Develops and enforces standards, policies, and budget planning for the Nursing Department.
• Provides opportunities for staff professional growth and development.
