Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to oversee nursing leadership at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky. The CNO will ensure continuous, high-quality nursing services and align policies with regulatory standards.

Role includes budgeting, staffing, and leadership collaboration with hospital executives. The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with a BSN and an MSN or MHA, plus 3–5 years of CNO experience in an investor-owned hospital, including Joint

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse with knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and practice standards, with verbal interpersonal and quantitative skills.
Master's degree preferred (MSN or MHA).
Experience leading nursing services in a hospital setting, with JCAHO/Joint Commission exposure.

Responsibilities

Oversees continuous and timely nursing services to patients.
Ensures nursing standards, practices, policies and procedures meet laws and professional standards.
Directs nursing service performance-improvement activities and hospital leadership involvement.
Collaborates with hospital leaders to design patient care services and staffing.
Develops and manages the nursing budget and staffing plan.
Leads orientation and educational programs to promote staff development.
Represents the hospital in professional organizations and public relations.
