Position Description

Job Title: Chief Nursing Officer

Supervised by: Administrator

Supervises: Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Certified Staff Administering Medications, Certified Nursing Aides

Position Purpose

The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the health of each resident and the coordination of services to provide appropriate care as determined through the assessment process.

Position Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in Illinois
• Degree as a registered nurse from an accredited nursing program
• CPR and First Aid training

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to take call after hours and on weekends, maintaining a chain of command
• Maintain quality assurance and implement improvement plans
• Present a professional appearance
• Understand and follow through with patient care directions

Proficiency or Productivity Standards
