CBS News and Stations, with KPIX 5 in San Francisco, seeks an Executive News Producer to lead and coordinate content for traditional TV and digital platforms. You will guide a team of anchors, producers, reporters and editors, elevating news quality through mentorship and feedback.

The role emphasizes growing digital-first content, strong editorial judgment, and a track record in newsroom leadership. This position is based in San Francisco and requires flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in broadcast or cable news; at least 3 years of newsroom management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with streaming platforms and working knowledge of digital video production techniques and online content management.
Available for early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

Cultivate a work environment that encourages fresh ideas and community engagement for our diverse audience.
Lead a team of anchors, producers, reporters, meteorologists, photojournalists, digital content producers and editors with strong editorial judgment.
Exhibit strong editorial judgment, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
Uphold outstanding grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.
Contribute to the station's goal of growing digital‑first content through daily editorial decisions.
