Job summary

Globalstar Inc. seeks a Senior Network Architect to own multi-year network architecture across WAN, LAN, data center, and cloud interconnects.

You will lead design reviews, set standards, and drive observability and capacity planning to meet enterprise SLAs, while coordinating with cybersecurity and compliance functions. The role requires CCIE with 15+ years of experience, strong vendor and executive communication skills, and a track record of influencing across teams.

Qualifications

• Active CCIE certification is required.
• Second expert-level certification is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• 7+ years in a principal or chief-architect design role.
• Expert-level BGP policy, route reflection and multi-homing.
• Deep EVPN/VXLAN data center fabrics experience.
• Hands-on SD-WAN/SASE and cloud interconnect experience.
• Compliance experience: NIST 800-171, SOC 2, ITAR/EAR.
• Influence without direct authority across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final technical decision authority for WAN/LAN/data center and interconnects.
• Chair network design reviews; ensure sign-off for major changes.
• Own standards, architectures, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity leadership; lead by expertise.
• Own observability architecture (Kentik) and capacity planning.
• Escalate incidents as senior architect; lead post-incident reviews.
• Present architecture to executives, customers, and auditors.
• Ensure designs meet NIST SOC 2 ITAR/EAR requirements.
• Lead technical workstreams for corporate initiatives and due diligence.
• Evaluate new tech; run proofs-of-concept; influence vendor strategy.
• Mentor senior engineers; raise technical bar across the org.
