Job summary

WMAR, The E.W. Scripps ABC Station in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Multi-Media Managing Editor to lead a modern local news operation across streaming, digital, social, and broadcast platforms.

You’ll guide nightly coverage, set priorities, and help journalists tell stronger stories in real time. You’ll coach reporters and MMJs, shape audience-focused strategies, and ensure ethical, accurate journalism while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience leading in a fast-paced newsroom and making editorial decisions under deadline pressure.
• Digital, streaming, and broadcast storytelling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of streaming and digital news coverage for 24/7 audiences.
• Coordinate coverage plans, breaking news response, and content priorities as central hub.
• Coach and develop reporters and MMJs to elevate storytelling across platforms.
