Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a Chief Meteorologist for CBS2/FOX9 to lead weather presentation across TV, digital and social platforms. The ideal candidate will craft clear forecasts, issue warnings and guide weather graphics, working with producers to tell a compelling weather story.

You should bring deep forecasting knowledge, a strong news sense, excellent writing, and the ability to multitask under deadlines, with Idaho weather familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

  • In-Depth Knowledge of forecasting.
  • Knowledge of Idaho weather preferred.
  • Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to produce impactful content for social media.
  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

CBS2/FOX9 is looking for our next Chief Meteorologist. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering engaging weather content on digital and social media as well as television. You will create and present forecasts and issue warnings on all platforms.

The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include...

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?
