Texas Oncology is seeking a Chief Certified (Therapeutic) Medical Physicist to join the El Paso Team at our Grandview and Gateway locations. The role will lead the medical physics program, support HDR/SRS/SBRT initiatives, and ensure QA and regulatory compliance across the El Paso centers.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD in Physics/Medical Physics, ABR certification or CAMPEP residency with board eligibility, and a Texas Medical Board license, with at least seven years of clinical

  • Lead clinical radiation physics services for the El Paso team.

  • Ensure compliance with ABR/CAMPEP and regulatory requirements.

Overview

Texas Oncology is seeking a Chief Certified (Therapeutic) Medical Physicist to join our El Paso Team! The position will be based in our Grandview location and support our Gateway location. Our El Paso locations are home to 12 Hematologists/Oncologists, 2 Board Certified Radiation Oncologists, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and a Physician Assistant. We also offer in house labs, imaging, and have a full-time Oncology pharmacist. Our centers handle an average of 110 patients per day, including SRS, SBRT, and HDR programs. Today, Texas Oncology treats half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer on an annual basis. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Our mission is still the same today—at Texas Oncology, we use leading-edge technology and research to deliver high-quality, high-touch, evidence-based cancer care to help our patients achieve.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must have a Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be ABR certified, or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency and be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment.
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in clinical radiation physics.
  • Texas Medical Board license required
