Who We Are Looking For

This is a remote role, but preference will be given to candidates based on the East Coast, particularly those with convenient access to the organization’s training facilities and a major airport.

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Chief Medical Instructor to lead the development, delivery, and oversight of training programs for protection and medical personnel. This position will serve as the organization’s senior instructional leader, ensuring training is clinically sound, operationally relevant, compliant, and consistently delivered across a national and international footprint. This is primarily a training and training-development position and does not include responsibility for day-to-day clinical operations or site-based medical team management. However, the Chief Medical Instructor will periodically support the field delivery of medical coverage and training to maintain operational credibility and help meet organizational and client requirements. The Chief Medical Instructor will oversee curriculum development, instructor standards, certification compliance, medical workforce readiness, and the delivery of education designed for executive protection, remote operations, luxury destinations, and other high-profile environments. The ideal candidate is an experienced paramedic and instructor who can translate advanced medical concepts into practical, scenario-based training. This individual must be comfortable instructing experienced medical professionals, protection personnel, hospitality teams, and other non-medical audiences.

What You Will Work On

Lead the development and delivery of medical training programs for protection and medical personnel.

Serve as one of the organization’s senior subject-matter expert for medical instruction and training development.

Oversee a national instructor network delivering AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TECC, TCCC, and other approved medical courses.

Establish consistent instructional standards, course-delivery expectations, and quality-control processes.

Coordinate training schedules, instructor assignments, course resources, and certification requirements.

Support the continued growth and development of the organization’s AHA and NAEMT training programs.

Maintain current knowledge of applicable AHA, NAEMT, NREMT, and other relevant training standards.

Ensure all courses are delivered in accordance with certifying-body requirements and organizational policies.

Curriculum and Training Development

Develop practical, scenario-based training for executive protection agents, paramedics, security teams, and other operational personnel.

Create custom medical training programs based on client needs, operating environments, identified risks, and regulatory requirements.

Develop blended learning programs incorporating classroom instruction, hands‑on skills, simulations, tabletop exercises, and field scenarios.

Adapt medical training for remote, austere, international, executive protection, and luxury hospitality environments.

Develop and maintain instructor guides, student materials, lesson plans, skills checklists, scenarios, evaluations, and supporting training resources.

Review and update curricula to reflect changes in clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, operational lessons learned, and industry best practices.

Incorporate real‑world operational experience into training while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and discretion.

Instructor Network Management

Recruit, evaluate, onboard, and mentor qualified medical instructors.

Maintain an accurate instructor roster, including certifications, licenses, qualifications, availability, teaching assignments, and renewal dates.

Conduct instructor evaluations and provide feedback to improve instructional quality and consistency.

Ensure instructors maintain current credentials and remain compliant with AHA, NAEMT, organizational, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Build a professional instructor culture focused on preparation, accountability, clinical credibility, and instructional excellence.

Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for instructors across the organization.

Medical Compliance and Workforce Readiness

Work closely with compliance teams, field operations, and the medical division to identify and address medical training and compliance requirements.

Support the tracking and verification of professional licenses, certifications, instructor credentials, and required continuing education.

Support required compliance education, including bloodborne pathogen training, HIPAA training, infection‑control practices, occupational exposure requirements, and other applicable medical or workplace training.

Help ensure medical and protection personnel complete required training and maintain role‑specific qualifications.

Maintain accurate documentation of compliance training, completion records, competency assessments, and renewal requirements.

Assist compliance and operational leadership with audits, documentation requests, corrective actions, and workforce‑readiness initiatives.

Monitor changes in applicable training, privacy, occupational safety, and medical‑readiness requirements and help incorporate them into organizational programs.

Training Quality and Certification Compliance

Maintain training records, course documentation, student rosters, evaluations, certification records, and instructor files.

Conduct regular audits of training documentation, instructor credentials, and certification records.

Monitor course feedback, student performance, and training outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.

Establish quality‑assurance and continuous‑improvement processes for all medical training programs.

Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance, accountability, and readiness of training equipment and simulation materials.

Support compliance with AHA, NAEMT, NREMT, and other applicable accreditation or certification requirements.

Protection and Medical Training Integration

Partner with protection leadership, field operations, compliance teams, and medical leadership to identify training priorities and capability gaps.

Develop medical training that reflects the realities of executive protection, remote operations, international travel, and high‑profile client support.

Ensure medical and protection personnel can work together effectively during emergencies.

Develop drills and exercises involving casualty care, medical emergencies, evacuation planning, communications, and coordination with local emergency resources.

Support the development of training related to medical kits, emergency action plans, response protocols, and operational readiness.

Participate in training‑related client meetings, planning sessions, site visits, and program‑development discussions.

Deliver training to medical professionals, executive protection personnel, security teams, hospitality staff, and other client‑facing personnel.

Complete organization‑approved executive protection training to better understand protection operations and integrate medical training into the protective mission.

Field Service Delivery

Periodically deploy to support the delivery of medical coverage, client training, special events, exercises, and other operational requirements.

Provide medical support within the individual’s licensure, credentials, approved scope of practice, and organizational medical direction.

Assist with on‑site training delivery and medical‑readiness activities for protection and medical teams.

Represent the organization professionally when supporting UHNW clients, executives, dignitaries, private communities, and luxury hospitality partners.

Apply lessons learned from field assignments to strengthen curricula, exercises, and instructor development.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

• Active National Registry Paramedic certification.
• Ability to obtain additional state licensure when operationally required.
• Current FP-C or CCEMT-P certification.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor credentials with experience teaching these courses.
• Current NAEMT instructor credentials.
• Current instructor certification in TECC and/or TCCC.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering medical education.
• At least five years of experience in emergency, critical care, tactical, austere, flight, remote, or executive medical environments.
• Working knowledge of medical compliance requirements, including bloodborne pathogen standards, HIPAA requirements, infection control, and occupational exposure training.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, skills‑based instruction, simulations, and scenario development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross funtional teams.
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in high‑profile and confidential environments.
• Willingness to complete organization‑approved executive protection training.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to spend approximately one week per month at the organization’s designated training facility in VA.
• Willingness to periodically support medical coverage, client training, and other field‑service requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience managing or overseeing a medical training program.
• Experience coordinating a multi‑state or national instructor network.
• Experience managing an AHA Training Site, AHA Training Center, or NAEMT training program.
• Experience managing medical compliance, credentialing, or workforce‑readiness programs.
• Prior service in tactical, military, federal, or specialized medical roles, including 18D, PJ, IDC, flight paramedic, White House Medical Unit, DoD medical team, or similar assignments.
• Experience supporting executive protection operations, UHNW clients, dignitaries, luxury resorts, or international medical programs.
• Previous executive protection training or operational experience.
• Experience developing custom training for medical and non‑medical personnel.
• Familiarity with simulation‑based education, training technology, learning‑management systems, and certification‑tracking platforms.
• Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing programs based on operational risk.
• Additional critical care, tactical, compliance, or instructional certifications.

Location and Travel

This is a remote‑first position requiring regular domestic and occasional international travel. Preference will be given to candidates based on the East Coast, particularly those located within reasonable proximity to the organization’s training facilities and a major commercial airport.

The selected candidate must be willing and able to spend approximately one week per month at the designated training facility to support course delivery, curriculum development, instructor coordination, and program quality.

Additional travel may be required for medical coverage, client training, instructor development, site visits, special events, and other organizational priorities. Total travel may be up to 50%.
