Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible library leadership experience, including leading organizational change in a large, complex environment.
• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution; combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and operational direction for public services across the Library system.
• Supervise and support branch and service leaders, ensuring high-quality customer service and experiences.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of branch staff in partnership with Human Resources.
• Set standards for customer experience across all branches and hold leaders accountable.
• Directly supervise top associates and flagship managers with coaching and performance accountability.
• Translate employee feedback into practical improvements to policies, processes, and leadership practices.
• Establish measurable KPIs and use data to drive decisions across a large, distributed team.
• Collaborate to foster a workplace where staff feel belonging and respect.
