Mott Community College is seeking a General Counsel to act as the chief legal strategist and senior advisor on legal matters affecting the college. The GC will guide compliance, governance, and policy decisions to support MCC’s mission and integrity.

The role requires extensive experience in employment and labor law, strong leadership, and proficiency with LegalTech tools. This on-site position reports to the MCC President and supervises a paralegal/administrative staff.

Qualifikationen

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive legal experience, including at least 10 years in employment and labor law.
• Active Michigan law license.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership in managing complex legal issues in academia.
• Experience with legal research platforms, e-discovery tools, cybersecurity concepts, and AI awareness in legal practice.
