Job summary

Teague, an independent consultancy, seeks a Chief Legal Counsel to lead legal strategy, governance, and risk management across contracts, compliance, IP, and regulatory matters.

You will report to the VP of Operations, work with Board, and negotiate with clients from startups to large enterprises like Boeing. Travel less than 5% is expected.

The role emphasizes prudent judgment, integrity, and collaboration with HR, Finance, and Operations to enable growth while protecting the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience across contracts, governance, and regulatory matters.
• Experience advising executive leadership and the Board on complex issues.
• Proven ability to translate legal risk into actionable business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own Teague’s legal risk posture with integrity and transparency.
• Represent Teague with clients, regulators, and outside counsel.
• Lead high-stakes legal matters including disputes and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate with Facilities on leasing and management of properties.
• Provide practical, hands-on counsel across employment, IP, cybersecurity, and compliance.
