Job summary

Illumen Capital, a mission-driven investment firm, seeks a Head of Investor Relations & Capital Formation to lead fundraising and deepen relationships with institutional investors while expanding Illumen's investor base.

This executive will translate research-backed approaches into compelling narratives, oversee materials and processes, and travel for investor meetings, conferences, and events to drive the $1B AUM goal.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in institutional fundraising, investor relations and capital formation with a record of personally originating relationships and closing meaningful commitments.
• Active relationships across investor channels—consultants, OCIOs, foundations, endowments, pensions, family offices and wealth platforms.
• Experience in multi-asset class strategies is preferred.
• Strong investment fluency and the ability to communicate portfolio strategy, performance, attribution, risk, impact and Illumen's differentiated approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive capital formation strategy toward $1B AUM.
• Originate, qualify, cultivate, and close capital commitments from institutional investors and other major clients.
• Lead prospective investors through diligence, negotiation, and subscription processes; coordinate with investment and leadership teams.
• Manage LP relationships; strengthen re-ups, referrals, and cross-strategy engagement across private markets and public equities.
• Provide market intelligence to leadership; inform fundraising priorities, product development, and investor segmentation.
