Teacher Retirement System of Texas is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to provide executive leadership for the Investment Management Division and align investment strategy with the agency’s long-term obligations. The CIO will advise the Board, oversee policy execution, and sustain portfolio performance across a $250B+ asset base.

The role emphasizes accountability, risk management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders while leading succession planning and team development

Qualificações

• Fifteen (15) years of full-time related investment management experience.
• Eight (8) years of experience leading or supervising others.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in a closely related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred: CFA/CAIA/FRM certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide executive leadership for the Investment Management Division and advise the Board on asset allocation and portfolio structure.
• Oversee adherence to the Investment Policy Statement and policy framework; shape investment philosophy and performance.
• Lead development of the strategic investment plan, divisional budget, and governance processes.
• Direct implementation, monitor performance, and ensure governance and internal controls across investments.
