Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans seeks a Chief of General Internal Medicine/Geriatric Medicine. The role leads clinical, teaching, scholarship, administration and research in the Med-Comprehensive Medicine section.

Qualified candidates must be at Associate Professor or Professor rank, hold MD, be Board certified in Internal Medicine, and be licensed to practice in Louisiana. Ten years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in Louisiana.
• Ten years of experience required in research, teaching and/or patient care.
• Rank of Associate Professor or Professor eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for clinical, teaching, scholarship, administration and research activities.
• Oversee the section at a mid-management level with discretionary responsibilities.
• Contribute to program development and faculty mentorship.
