Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Chief Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration Engineer to lead architecture, design, and delivery of scalable hybrid Windows, Citrix, and cloud platforms with strong automation.

You will mentor engineers, drive IaC adoption, and coordinate with cybersecurity to ensure zero-trust, secure operations. Responsibilities include building self-service automation in PowerShell, managing IAM across on-prem and multi-cloud, and delivering observable, resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience across hybrid environments.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Windows experience in enterprise design, integration, and validation.
• 5+ years of cloud experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, including identity and hybrid patterns.
• 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance experience.
• Strong leadership skills to mentor engineers and advocate standardization through example.
• Strong architecture skills for scalable, secure, high-performing platform design.
• Strong AWS IAM expertise for identity and access management in cloud environments.
• Strong Active Directory Domain Services expertise for enterprise identity administration.
• Strong Citrix Cloud experience including Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x, DaaS, and Gateway.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills to automate administration and security workflows.
• Strong security and compliance skills to translate requirements into implementable controls.
• Strong stakeholder management skills for collaborating with business users and technology groups.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Responsibilities

• Define hybrid infrastructure architecture for Windows, Citrix, and cloud platforms with an automation-first approach.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performing environments aligned to zero-trust principles.
• Lead adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices through standards, examples, and mentorship.
• Engineer and administer identity and access management across on-prem and multi-cloud systems.
• Build automation and self-service workflows using PowerShell to reduce manual operations.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity partners to deliver initiatives such as threat management and DLPE.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and reporting for uptime, performance, capacity, and utilization.
• Present technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly to audiences of varied seniority.
