Chief Human Resources Officer, Philadelphia, PA (Onsite), $170,000–$200,000 + Executive Incentive Bonus

Chief Human Resources Officer – Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for all human resources operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, and workforce planning.
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and mission.
- Manage labor relations with the organization’s unionized workforce, including collective bargaining agreement negotiations and grievance resolution.
- Oversee HR operations including benefits administration, payroll processing, employee relations, workers’ compensation, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Develop and implement competitive compensation structures, benefits programs, and employee incentive initiatives.
- Analyze workforce data and key performance indicators to evaluate organizational performance, labor costs, and market competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead investigations and documentation for employee-related matters including union grievances, EEOC claims, and compliance concerns.
- Oversee employee credentialing processes and manage provider contract administration.
- Chair internal culture and credentialing initiatives and represent HR on organizational committees supporting safety, quality improvement, and governance.
- Provide leadership and development for the HR team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Prepare workforce reports and HR updates for executive leadership and the Board.
Chief Human Resources Officer – Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or JD strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably at the VP level or above within a healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated union leadership experience including collective bargaining negotiations and grievance management.
- Experience managing full-spectrum HR functions including benefits, payroll, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms; knowledge of UKG or Paylocity preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating workforce data, salary surveys, and labor cost metrics.
