Job summary

City of Baltimore’s Department of Finance (DOF) seeks a Chief of Human Resources to lead and oversee all HR functions, reporting to the Chief of Staff. The HR Chief will develop strategies to recruit, onboard and retain staff across divisions, driving talent management with data-driven insights and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum six (6) years in HR with at least 3 years in supervisory roles; preference for City of Baltimore HR experience.
• Equivalency: Equivalent mix of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions for the Department of Finance.
