Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a Security Executive Director to provide strategic oversight of CHLA Security. You will lead the security program, develop policies, and oversee risk assessments, incident response, and compliance across healthcare regulations.

The role requires extensive leadership, collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders, and coordination with law enforcement and public safety partners to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years in physical security, security operations, workplace violence prevention, threat assessment, investigations, emergency preparedness, security tech, and law enforcement coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develops and enforces security strategies, policies, procedures and standards to protect patients, staff, visitors, property and information.
• Oversees security risk assessments, incidents, and compliance with security regulations and hospital policies.
• Coordinates with local, state and federal agencies and external security partners to stay current on threats and best practices.
• Delivers security training and communications to staff and leadership.
