Job summary

BHcare seeks a strategic, relationship-driven Chief Business Development Officer to join its executive leadership team in Connecticut. This role drives growth through strategic partnerships, service expansion, and revenue diversification, reporting to the President/CEO with cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, an advanced degree preferred, and significant nonprofit/healthcare business development experience, with strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, healthcare management, public health, marketing, communications, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience leading business development, partnerships, fundraising, or related functions; nonprofit or healthcare preferred.
• Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and business development initiatives aligned with BHcare’s mission and long-term goals.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for service expansion, partnerships, and revenue diversification.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, community partners, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
• Provide strategic direction for development, marketing, communications, grants, and community engagement.
• Partner with leadership to assess market opportunities and implement initiatives.
