Why This Role Matters
We have proven tech and early enterprise traction. Your mandate is to turn that traction into repeatable, scalable growth—owning revenue, marketing, partnerships, and customer success from the ground up. You’ll shape strategy with the founding team and hold a co-founder-level stake in the company’s success.
What You’ll Own
- Design and refine the go-to-market (GTM) model for an AI-powered cybersecurity SaaS targeting Fortune 2,000 and regulated industries.
- Build and manage the entire revenue engine (demand generation, sales, post-sales) with clear KPIs, forecasts, and dashboards.
- Close lighthouse customers, negotiate large six- and seven-figure contracts, and create playbooks for complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a world-class sales team once product-market fit is firmly established.
Marketing & Brand
- Craft compelling, trust-building narratives that resonate with CISOs, Red-Team Leads, and compliance officers—while maintaining stealth.
- Drive thought-leadership via conference keynotes, white papers, and influencer partnerships without disclosing product IP.
Partnerships & Ecosystem
- Forge alliances with cloud providers, MSSPs, and compliance auditors to accelerate distribution and credibility.
- Oversee channel strategy, reseller agreements, and technology integrations (cloud marketplaces, SIEM/SOAR, vulnerability-management platforms).
Customer Success & Expansion
- Build a high-touch onboarding and success program that converts pilots into multi-year contracts and drives upsell to new modules.
- Capture customer insights and feed them back to product and engineering for continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Proven GTM Leadership: 8+ years in senior growth, revenue, or marketing roles at high-growth B2B SaaS companies—ideally cybersecurity or enterprise AI.
- Enterprise-Deal Expertise: Track record closing $500k–$5M ARR deals with complex security, legal, and procurement requirements.
- Strategic & Hands-On: Comfortable drafting strategy decks in the morning and talking to prospects in the afternoon; excellent operator under ambiguity.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Fluency with PLG metrics, funnel analytics, ABM tools, and modern RevOps stacks (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Credibility with Security Buyers: Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, red-team/Pentest services, and the language of CISOs and security architects.
- Global Perspective: Experience growing revenue across North America, EMEA, and APAC; adept at navigating cultural nuances and regional compliance.
- Communication & Storytelling: Ability to translate complex technical value into crisp, memorable messaging for both executives and practitioners.
- Startup DNA: High agency, bias for action, willingness to iterate quickly and wear multiple hats.
Nice-to-Haves
- Past role at a company that sold to highly regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, critical infrastructure).
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) or deep familiarity with offensive-security tooling.
- Network in the VC and cybersecurity-analyst community (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, CREST).
