Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive fundraising experience with team leadership.
• Proven success closing six-figure gifts with frontline fundraising.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across locations.
• Strategic and entrepreneurial fundraising mindset.
• Familiarity with membership and digital fundraising models.
• Excellent written, communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
• High professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership and boards; public media interest a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising across major gifts, institutional giving, corporate underwriting, membership.
• Set and execute annual and long‑term revenue strategies; frontline fundraiser.
• Partner with CEO, leadership, and Board of Directors; represent Vermont Public externally.
• Manage donor portfolio; steward 75–100 of ~200 households.
• Oversee development operations and a 15-person team with 5 direct reports.
• Achieve the $14.7M fundraising goal for FY27.
